Do your armchairs need a makeover? Sandblasting the wood might be one solution, or applying a special paint could be another. The Voltaire armchair is a classic for upholsterers. Dating from the Louis Philippe period, it can be found in two different forms: either with a removable, or "slatted," backrest, or without, meaning it's a straight backrest.
